• Welcome to Service-Oriented Computing class!
• You will find some announcements and general guidelines for home works, programming assignments and the final term paper or the project.
• A message board has been set up for any healthy course related discussions.
• I would make it a point to check the message board regularly and respond within a day. Do not expect a reply within a few minutes or hours.
• Any questions or queries to the TA, please post it on the message board, and please refrain from sending personal emails.
• The project assignments would require you to use the following extensively
• An application server preferably TOMCAT latest version.
• The first project assignment will require you to connect to a web service. This assignment will be posted shortly on the course schedule page, meanwhile familiarize yourself on using the Axis tool.

• A brief JSP tutorial to get you started.
• For those of you who are new to JSP, use the simple examples packaged with your TOMCAT distribution ($TOMCAT/webapps/examples/jsp folder) to know how JSPs are executed by your TOMCAT web server.
